编辑实践发现:(1)有些国家标准或权威工具书是针对整个社会的,没有考虑地质学的特殊性,地质行业的术语有其自身的特点,所以在这样的标准或权威面前,我们应当灵活掌握;(2)有些地质术语尚未能在国家标准中得到体现;(3)有时死板地执行国家标准,可能并不得体,或者还可能有歧义;(4)有极少数国家标准的规定,显得过于繁琐,且与国际上和/或传统上的用法不一致,死板执行将增加太多的成本。作为编辑,很重要的义务就是执行国家标准,消灭论文中可能存在的歧义,并且为读者和作者创造良好的环境,使论文不要冗长、繁琐。本文讨论了十个地质学中的实例。

As editors, it is an important obligation to implement national standards, eliminate possible ambiguities in the essay, and create a good environment for readers and authors so that the essay is not lengthy or tedious. This article discusses ten examples in geology.
