In this paper, a complete formula for parallel ray propagation of a three-dimensional complex source pulse beam with transient vector plane waves is deduced. The expressions of truncation error, discretization expansion error and total error are obtained. This expansion applies to any pulse signal. By selecting complex source parameters. The amount, spread, and deployment radius are such that they meet the given error requirements everywhere in the composite field throughout the space within a specified radius from the deployment plane to the maximum deployment distance. In this paper, three-dimensional complex source pulse beam spread of the commonly used Gaussian envelope (including Gaussian) signal transient vector plane wave is calculated. The numerical calculation and the satisfactory results are obtained. This method is especially suitable for the application of complex source pulse beam theory to study the transient wave propagation and the scattering characteristics of the target analysis
