汽车工业必须考虑将来所设计的汽车应符合二种侧面碰撞保护的标准;美国的FMVSS—214(联邦车辆安全标准)和欧洲标准。规定要求对1997MY(车型年)的轿车应遵守FMVSS—214标准,对于轻型卡车,大蓬货车最迟在1999年实施。U.S侧面碰撞模式被用于衡量加速度变化的尺度。参照U.S标准,欧共体指令希望在1996MY车辆上提前生效,并使用欧州SID—1模式测定乘员失位后的伤害程度。
The automotive industry must consider that cars designed in the future should meet two standards of side impact protection; U.S. FMVSS-214 (Federal Vehicle Safety Standards) and European standards. Regulations require that cars of the 1997 MY (model year) be in compliance with the FMVSS-214 standard, and in the case of light-duty trucks, a vans must be implemented by 1999 at the latest. US side impact mode is used to measure the acceleration of the scale. According to the U.S standard, the EC directive hopes to take effect early on the 1996MY vehicle and uses the European SID-1 mode to measure the degree of injury after the occupant is out of position.
