This article presents a distinctive technique for obtaining a three-dimensional view of the current television receiver. Two images of a three-dimensional object are generated and transmitted in such a way that one image is taken while scanning an odd number of fields in the interlaced scanning of an ordinary television system while the other is performed while scanning even numbers of lines. Add a cheap electronic logic component to the transmitter and receiver to control video signal multiplexing and separation without changing the television signal standard. This technology uses a Field Shading Synchronization Shutter (FMSS) for 3D image display. The use of this technique also overcomes some of the drawbacks of the earlier proposed color filter approach. The superior price / performance ratio of this new design makes it attractive for color and black and white television systems.
