Objective To understand the knowledge and behavior of Influenza A (H1N1) in different majors and to provide a reference for the prevention and control of Influenza A (H1N1) outbreak on campus. Methods A questionnaire was designed by ourselves. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 873 college students from 3 different majors in 2 universities in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Results Compared with public health majors, anthropology and social work majors had less knowledge of the spread of Influenza A (H1N1) (P <0.01), more worried and panic about Influenza A (H1N1) (P <0.05), and Influenza A (H1N1) was less attention paid to quarantine measures (P <0.05); less knowledge was found about quarantine strategies (P <0.05); anthropology majors were less likely to reduce type A by reducing mouth, nose and eye touch H1N1 influenza infection (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the prevention of influenza A (H1N1) among different specialties (P> 0.05). Conclusion Public health majors know relatively more about the knowledge of Influenza A (H1N1), but the preventive behavior needs to be improved.
