Current events Replayed On January 20, 2004, the National Bureau of Statistics released the preliminary accounting data of China’s gross domestic product (GDP) in 2003. In 2003, China’s total GDP amounted to more than US$1.4 trillion, and US$1,090 per capita. This is the first time that China’s per capita GDP exceeded 1,000 US dollars. In Singapore and South Korea, the per capita GDP reached 1,000 U.S. dollars. The economy has rapidly risen. It soon ran toward the average of 4,000 U.S. dollars and 8,000 U.S. dollars. In some Latin American countries, it has been stuck at a level of one or two thousand U.S. dollars per capita for a long time. . It can be seen that China’s per capita GDP is more than 1,000 US dollars. On the one hand, it is a new strategic starting point and has the prerequisite for economic take-off. On the other hand, various contradictions are relatively concentrated and prominent.
