Hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) is an infectious disease caused by enteroviruses. It is transmitted through the respiratory tract, intestines and close contact. Cox A16 and EV71 are the most common common. In recent years, the incidence of HFMD in mainland China has been increasing year by year, and the number of severe cases and deaths has risen sharply. Especially in some places such as Fuyang City in Anhui Province, outbreak trends have emerged, posing a tremendous threat to the lives and health of children. Economic burdens and social problems can not be ignored, and have now become an important public health issue. Since no effective antiviral drugs are available for the treatment of patients, the EV71 vaccine was successfully developed. After the SFDA approved the listing, the author reviewed the epidemiological features and prevention and control strategies of HFMD in the population, and focused on HFMD Prevention provides basis.
