汽车牌照的自动识别技术是ITS(智能交通)中的关键组成部分之一,其在公路收费、车辆监测、停车场管理、电子警察等诸多领域有着广泛的用途。国内外对有关技术的研究已经达到了较高的水平,尽管如此,实践中仍然存在准确率不够理想或者识别效率不够高的问题。本文提出了一种基于快速骨架分析的车牌识别算法,具有逻辑简明、识别率高、速度快的优点。取随机照片进行对比测试,证明该算法在保证较高识别率的同时拥有很高的运算效率,因而是一种值得在实际车牌识别系统中采用的方法。
Automated license plate recognition technology is one of the key components of ITS (Intelligent Transport) and has a wide range of uses in areas such as highway toll collection, vehicle monitoring, parking lot management, and electronic police. At home and abroad, the research on related technologies has reached a relatively high level. However, there still exist some problems in practice, such as the accuracy is not satisfactory or the recognition efficiency is not high enough. This paper presents a license plate recognition algorithm based on fast skeleton analysis, which has the advantages of concise logic, high recognition rate and fast speed. Compared with random pictures, this algorithm is proved to be efficient and efficient in ensuring high recognition rate. Therefore, it is worth to use in the actual license plate recognition system.
