光学时域反射仪(简称OTDR)是光纤通信中一种重要的测试仪器,可用于测试光纤的长度和故障位置,测试光纤的损耗值和沿长度方向的损耗分布,从而可测出光纤的缺陷和接头的损耗,以及分析光纤的质量情况。本仪器的特点是只需接触光纤的一端即可进行非破坏性测试,所以它也适用于测试已铺设的光缆。随着光纤通信从短波长(0.85μm)向长波长(1.3μm)发展,长波长光学时域反射仪也随之发展起来。为适应我国发展长波长光纤通信的需要,我们研制成功了FC-1型长波长光学时域反射仪,并通过了技术鉴定。
Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (OTDR) is an important test instrument in optical fiber communication, which can be used to test the length and fault location of optical fiber, test the optical fiber loss value and the loss distribution along the length direction, so as to detect the optical fiber defect And connector loss, as well as analysis of the quality of optical fiber. This instrument features non-destructive testing with only one end of the optical fiber, so it is also suitable for testing laid optical cables. As optical fiber communications have grown from short wavelengths (0.85 μm) to longer wavelengths (1.3 μm), longer wavelength optical time domain reflectometers have also evolved. In order to meet the need of developing long wavelength optical fiber communication in our country, we successfully developed the FC-1 long wavelength optical time domain reflectometer and passed the technical appraisal.
