广告代理制是指在广告活动中,广告主委托广告公司实施广告宣传计划,广告媒介通过广告公司承揽广告业务的一种机制和经营体制。是广告业发展到一定历史阶段的产物。众所周知,广告代理制是借鉴发达国家之经验,强调广告业内部合理分工,互相合作,以此来求得共同发展。从1979年到今天,中国广告代理制大致经历了这样几个发展阶段:
