西方国家大肠癌的发病率和死亡率比发展中国家要明显高,在男性中仅次于肺癌占第二位,与肺癌一样是最近发病率发展较快的一种癌瘤,引起人们极为注意。根据世界上45个国家和地区的调查报导,35—64岁男性的结肠、直肠癌的发病率,明显有地理分布的区别;发病率最高者为美国的康乃狄格州,高达51.8/10万人口,最低者为乌干达首都地区康帕拉为3.5/10万人口。
The incidence and mortality of colorectal cancer in western countries are significantly higher than those in developing countries.
