在我区西部边境的裕民县巴尔鲁克山浅山地带的布尔干河旁,在我国生长稀少的野生巴旦杏自然保护区内,最近因塔城农垦局161团二营11连人为在附近麦茬地放火烧荒,引起林火,烧毁野生巴旦杏林地7.088亩,占整个保护区面积了58.1％,其中烧毁成片茂密林地4,275亩,占该面积的71％。这次大火,几乎把这片已列入自治区自然保护区的野生巴旦杏林葬入火海,使自然资源造成了无可挽回的严重损失。
