三农问题和“社会主义新农村”的建设,是中国政府目前的中心工作之一。然而很长一段时间以来,设计界在谈论中国设计与中国民生等相关问题时,常常是天然地设定了以中国城镇(尤其是东部发达地区)的市场和消费者为中心的。相信本期陈刚教授的谈话可以促使设计界对新农村设计问题作深入思考。而早在1930年,金岳霖为冯友兰撰写《中国哲学史审查报告》时,就曾提出应该对“中国哲学”和“在中国的哲学”两个概念加以区别:前者背后的假设是哲学具有民族性,后者则重在发挥哲学的一般价值。这是一个很有意思的讨论,我们很高兴地看到将近一个多世纪后的中国设计界,也有学者对此展开了积极的回应。
The issue of agriculture, rural areas and farmers and the building of a “new socialist countryside” are one of the current central tasks of the Chinese government. However, for a long time, designers often naturally set their market and consumer focus on Chinese towns (especially in the developed eastern regions) when discussing issues related to China’s design and China’s livelihood. I believe this session of Professor Chen Gang’s conversation can prompt the design community to think deeply about the new rural design issues. As early as 1930, when Jin Yuelin wrote a review report on the history of Chinese philosophy for Feng Youlan, he proposed that the two concepts of “Chinese philosophy” and “philosophy in China” be distinguished: the hypothesis behind the former is Philosophy is nationalistic, while the latter focuses on the general value of philosophy. This is a very interesting discussion. We are very glad to see that there has been a positive response from the Chinese design industry that has been going on for more than a century. Some scholars also responded positively.
