一九六一年四月,冰心同志作为中国作家代表团的成员,参加了在日本东京举行的亚非作家会议常设委员会会议。其间,她在日本的每一天,都亲眼看到了美丽的樱花,感受到了日本人民对中国代表团成员的深厚的友谊,“暖意盈怀”,于是“欣然提笔作樱花赞”。这篇散文,描写细腻,感情醇浓,它不仅是一曲樱花的赞歌,而且也是一支中日人民友谊的乐章。全文可分为四部分:
In April 1961, Comrade Bing Xin, a member of the Chinese Writers Delegation, attended the Standing Committee Meeting of the Asian-African Writers’ Conference held in Tokyo, Japan. During her stay in Japan, she saw the beautiful cherry blossoms on her own and felt the deep friendship between the Japanese people and the members of the Chinese delegation. “Warmly, I would like to raise my heart for cherry blossoms”.
