《宠儿》是托尼·莫里森的代表作,它展现了奴隶制给黑人奴隶带来的悲惨遭遇以及肉体和心灵的双重创伤,重现了黑人奴隶的血泪史。残酷的现实使得黑人极度渴望解脱,向往自由。在没有尊严充满压迫的日子里,获得自由是他们活下去的动力和目标,为自由而活着是他们普遍秉承的生存伦理。同时,残酷的现实使得黑人对亲人的爱无法正常地表达,导致黑人世界的家庭伦理走向极端化。通过对黑人奴隶的伦理异化和道德困境的刻画,莫里森表达了其倡导黑人民族摆脱伤痕累累的历史,重新建构民族文化,寻求伦理回归的诉求。
“Beloved” is the representative of Tony Morrison. It shows the tragedy suffered by black slaves and the physical and spiritual trauma, and reproduces the history of blood and tears of black slaves. Cruel reality makes the black extreme desire for freedom, longing for freedom. In the days when there is no dignity and oppression, the freedom and freedom are the driving force and goal for them to live. Living for freedom is their common ethic of living. At the same time, the brutal reality makes the black people’s love for their loved ones can not be properly expressed, resulting in the black ethics of family toward extreme. Through depicting the ethical alienation and moral predicament of black slaves, Morrison expresses his appeal to advocate the black nation to get rid of scarred history, rebuild national culture and seek ethical return.
