王培森同志为话剧《窦巴兹》所作的布景设计,立意鲜明,构思新颖,是一九八二年首都舞台上比较成功的舞台设计之一。这个戏的布景,是由一块半截幕、四组道具、两块基本平台和一组用于中后景的抽象化框架组成的。此外,还有灯光因素。对于这些实物和灯光的处理,设计者都有自己的想法,而这些想法又都是从对剧本所反映的社会生活的认识中生发出来的,并同导演的构思密切结合,因而达到了较好的演出效果。观众一走进剧场,就可以看到台口挂着一块白色的半截幕。幕上写有两行大字:“诚实、正直的教员窦巴兹,他信奉的道德格言是:‘金钱并不就是幸福。’‘美好的名誊胜于金钱袋。’”《窦巴兹》是四幕讽刺喜剧。在演出过程中,舞台的紫红色大幕始终是开着的。幕与幕的间隔,就用这块写有道德格言的半截幕的降落和升起作为标志。演出告终时,又是这块半截幕送别观众。这种半截面幕,原是德国戏剧家布莱希特所惯用的,人称“布莱希特幕”。现在用之于这出
