As a communicative tool of language and culture, English is increasingly valued by people from all walks of life. As one of the communicative ways of human speech, “Listening” is more important today because of the increase of information and the increasing frequency of international exchanges. According to Professor Paul Rankin of the United States, “listening” accounts for the daily verbal activities of people 45%. Listening, speaking, reading, writing, translating and listening are the first of five aspects of college students’ comprehensive English ability; however, listening is a weakness for most college students. Therefore, how to improve listening has always been of concern to people.
