虾是发达国家密切关注的低脂肪,高蛋白食品,也是发展中国家外汇收入的产品,今后的需求量预计不断增加。据统计,1979年以来世界虾产量为160~170万吨,其中养殖为10~15万吨,养殖地主要分布在中南美和东南亚。台湾养虾面积1.5万公顷,1985年虾总产量略超3万吨,其中95%以上是斑节对虾,产品约60%。出口,主要销往日本。台湾1968年开始集约养殖斑节对虾,19年来飞跃发展,对台湾经济起到了不可忽视的作用。台湾省政府计划1990年虾产量增加到5万吨。
Shrimp is a low-fat, high-protein food closely watched in developed countries and a product of foreign exchange earnings in developing countries. The demand for shrimp is expected to continue to increase in the future. According to statistics, since 1979, the world’s shrimp production is 160 to 1.7 million tons, of which 10 to 150,000 tons of aquaculture, farms are mainly distributed in Central and South America and Southeast Asia. Taiwan shrimp area of 15,000 hectares, 1985 shrimp production slightly over 30,000 tons, of which more than 95% is Penaeus monodon, about 60% of the product. Exports, mainly to Japan. Taiwan began intensive farming of Penaeus monodon in 1968 and its rapid development in 19 years has played an important role in Taiwan’s economy. Taiwan’s provincial government plans to increase shrimp production to 50,000 tons in 1990.
