The ultraviolet and visible upconversion luminescence of the Yb3 + sensitized Tm3 + in the nanophase oxyfluoride glass ceramic Tm (0.1) Yb (5): FOV excited by a 975nm semiconductor laser was investigated. A UV upconversion luminescence at 363.6nm was found , Which is the 1D2 → 3H6 fluorescence transition of Tm3 + ions Several of the upconverted luminescence lines at 450.7nm, (477.0,462.5nm), 648.5nm, (680.5,699.5nm) and (777.2,800.7nm) were also found , Which are the fluorescence transitions of 1D2 → 3F4, 1G4 → 3H6, 1G4 → 3F4, 3F3 → 3H6 and 3H4 → 3H6 of Tm3 + ions.It is confirmed by detailed measurement and analysis that the upconversion luminescence intensity F changes with the pump power P at 975 nm The 1D2 level upconversion luminescence part is five-photon upconversion luminescence, while the 1G4 level and 3H4 level upconversion luminescence is three-photon and two-photon upconversion luminescence.Preliminary theoretical analysis suggests 1D2 level upconversion The luminescence mechanism is that part of the light emission mechanism is a combination of {3H 4 (Tm 3+) → 3F 4 (Tm 3+), 1G 4 (Tm 3+) → 1D 2 (Tm 3+)} and {1G 4 (Tm 3+) → 3F 4 (Tm 3+) }, While the upconversion luminescence mechanism at 1G4 and 3H4 levels is {2F5 / 2 (Yb3 +) → 2F7 / 2 (Yb3 +) and 3H4 (Tm3 +) from Yb3 + to Tm3 + → 1G4 (Tm3 +)} and {2F5 / 2 (Yb3 +) → 2F7 / 2 (Yb3 +), 3F4 (Tm3 +) → 3F2 (Tm3 +)}.
