The steering trapezoidal mechanism that adapts to the independent suspension must be a broken trapezoid. The correct position of the breaking point has a direct impact on the steering stability of the vehicle. The method of solving the trapezoidal breaking point of the double wishbone independent suspension is given. The calculation of the best position of the broken point is given by calculation example. It provides a simple and effective method for vehicle design and structural analysis.
