1997年被称为中央电视台的直播年。继年初人大、政协两会召开，3月漠河日全食，7月香港回归，9月党的十五大召开的直播报道之后，10月黄河小浪底截流和11月初长江三峡大江截流直播报道为这个直播年画上了一个圆满的句号。三峡工程是世界性的宏伟工程，中央电视台通过全方位、多角度、立体化的电视直播报道，将三峡工程这一旷世之作的历史、现在与明天展现在观众面前，留下了伟大的、永恒的历史瞬间，实现了电视直播报道的一次飞跃。为此，本刊特约直接参与这次直播报道的编导、记者，请他们谈谈各自的体验和思考。
