国际学校学生从幼儿园开始学习英语,经过几年的英语环境的浸泡,已经具备一定的语言基础和英语思维。他们到三年级阶段已经具备了一定的阅读写作能力和很好的听说能力。但是,由于不断有新转入学生从公立校加入到国际学校,三年级以前从没有过英语的接触。这类学生接触新语言的年龄相对较大,已经具备了完整的汉语思维,对第二语言的习得有着很强的翻译依赖性,英语启蒙对他们来说有很大困难。本文针对这样的学生群体和知识现状,探讨如何运用恰当的教学方法进行英语启蒙和兴趣培养,怎样引导学生保持良好的心态,让他们的英语学习兴趣与日俱增,进而爱上英语,学好英语,培养出良好的英语语感和英语思维。这对小学阶段英语教学的有效开展和学生在快乐中学习一门外语起着至关重要的作用。
International school students begin to learn English from kindergarten. After several years of immersion in the English language environment, they already have a certain language foundation and English thinking. They have a certain degree of reading and writing skills and good listening and speaking skills up to the third grade. However, in the third grade, there was never any contact with English as new incoming students continued to join international schools from public schools. Such students are relatively old in their exposure to new languages, have complete Chinese thinking, have strong translation dependence in second language acquisition, and English enlightenment has great difficulties for them. This article aims at such groups of students and knowledge of the status quo, explore how to use the appropriate teaching methods for English enlightenment and interest training, how to guide students to maintain a good attitude, so that their interest in English learning is growing, and thus love English, learn English, develop Good English sense and English thinking. This plays an important role in the effective development of English teaching in elementary school and students learning a foreign language in happiness.
