Modern life is mainly concentrated in the cities and the Internet, and erodes the innate love of many young people for nature. Some scientific research has also begun to field work away from the wild. Biology is increasingly dependent on laboratory research, and even more important earth science research is now done on the computer screen, not really in the real world. As a ornithologist working in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, I found that field research is more scientific and spiritual. My experience tells me that all young scientists who study natural processes at a macro scale should seize the opportunities of field research, which not only enrich one’s research experience but also help you
