Jiro Nishida (1870-1945) is the greatest philosopher in modern Japan. He introduced Japan’s philosophy of origin, originating in Greece and having a long tradition as a universal theory of theory, and strictly measuring the thoughts of Japan and the East in the light of that “Philosophy ” first person. [1] The philosophical system that he founded to fuse Eastern and Western thoughts was called “Nishida Philosophy” by Shihiro Tien-ji. However, when it comes to Nishida’s philosophy, it is widely accepted that it is an oriental philosophy based on Oriental Buddhist thought and Western philosophical thought as material and established by western logic, while ignoring its influence on Chinese Taoism. The purpose of this essay is to analyze the basic concept of “pure experience” of Nishida’s philosophy to reveal the influence of Taoism, especially Lao Tzu’s thought, on Nishida.
