评比是推动工作的有效方法.在当前全国报纸大跃进中,本刊编辑室提出这样一个倡议:通过“新闻战线”杂志,让全国省市级报纸来进行一次标题的评比工作.我们欢迎全国省市报纸都来参加这次评比,支持这个评比工作.我们希望通过这样一次评比,使省市报纸的同志来互相学习,共同提高标题的质量.凡是参加这次评比的省市报纸,请你们给本刊推荐四月一日至十五日这十五天中,你报各版上最好的两则标题(新闻的内容和来源不论,国际或国内新闻都可以).各报所推荐的标题应该为报社编辑部多数同志所公认.因此,在推荐之前,最好在各报编辑部内部先进行一次群众性的评比,通过评比来确定该推荐的标题.推荐的标题寄来本刊的时候,要附上新闻内容(最好把标题和新闻的剪报寄来),同时说明推荐的理由.参加评比的标题,请在四月底前寄到本刊编辑室,我们将在五月份本刊上如数刊登,然后请各报来进行评比,从所有这些标题中挑选出前五名,附理由,告诉本刊.最后由本刊综合各报评比的意见,确定最优秀的五个标题.这次评比带有试验性质,因此范围只限于省市报纸;我们欢迎大家对这样的评比工作提出意见.在见到这个倡议后,就请各省市报社立即行动起来吧!
