形成性评价曾因其关注学生日常学习活动,工作量大而使许多外语教学工作者望而却步,在老的教学模式下实施起来也确有一定的困难。作为英语学习的一个重要环节,长期以来课外作业的布置和评价也没有得到大学英语教师和学生的足够重视,主要表现在作业内容单一、枯燥,评价方式简单。但在多媒体和网络技术的支撑下,这些问题都迎刃而解。网络技术为形成性评价的实施提供了便利,丰富的网络资源为教师布置内容丰富有趣的课外作业提供了可能。多层次的作业为学生的个性化学习提供了平台;网络资源的利用增加了大学英语课外学习的趣味性。而形成性的评价方式在单元学习的每个阶段为学生明确了学习目标和学习任务,个性化的反馈和评价提高了学生的学习自信心,培养了其自主学习的能力,同时也促进了课堂教学。
Formative evaluation has caused many foreign language teaching workers to stay away from their routine learning activities due to their concern for the students’ daily study activities. It is also quite difficult to implement them under the old teaching mode. As an important part of English learning, the placement and evaluation of extracurricular assignments have not received sufficient attention from college English teachers and students. The main features of the assignments are simple, boring, and simple evaluation methods. However, with the support of multimedia and network technologies, these problems are easily solved. The network technology has facilitated the implementation of the formative evaluation. The rich network resources make it possible for teachers to arrange rich and interesting extracurricular assignments. Multi-level assignments provide a platform for personalized learning of students; the use of online resources increases the interest of college English extra-curricular learning. The formation of the evaluation method for each stage of unit learning for students clear learning objectives and learning tasks, personalized feedback and evaluation to improve students’ self-confidence in learning, develop their ability to learn independently, but also to promote the classroom teaching.
