该研究以湖南科技大学为例,采用网络调查问卷的方式对2016级学生就英语角的开展方式、活动内容以及参加英语角后的反馈等方面进行了调查。通过研究分析,我们发现在大学中英语角已经普遍存在,但大多数英语角的开展模式较为单一,创新程度不高,导致学生参与度下降,在观念上对英语角的存在也有了误解。由于学生的积极性低沉,越来越多的英语角名不符实,其作用无法发挥。针对这些问题,该研究在如何开展活动才能使英语角发挥更大作用问题上,提出了建设性建议,进一步挖掘英语角潜力,更好地服务于高校教学。
Taking Hunan University of Science and Technology as an example, this study investigated the ways in which students of 2016 level conducted English language activities, the content of their activities and their feedback after participating in the English corner by means of online questionnaires. Through research and analysis, we found that the English corner has been widespread in universities. However, most of the English corners have a single mode of development and a low degree of innovation, leading to a drop in students’ participation and a misunderstanding of the existence of the English corner. Due to the low enthusiasm of students, more and more English corner names are not true, and their effects can not be played. In response to these problems, the study put forward constructive suggestions on how to carry out activities in order to make the English corner play a greater role, to further tap the potential of English corner and better serve the teaching of colleges and universities.
