Objective To investigate the effect of estrogen and estrogen levels on the erythrocyte deformability in patients with endocrine erectile dysfunction (ED) and its clinical significance. Methods ED30 cases of ED and endocrine ED15 cases, analysis of erythrocyte rigidity index (IR) and estrogen androgen levels. Results There was a negative correlation between IR and androgen levels in 43 ED patients (r = -0.3497, P <0.05). There was a significant negative correlation between IR and estrogen levels (r = -0.3123, P <0.05) Sexual meaning. IR5.9033 ± 1.9369 in endocrine ED group was 4.0589 ± 1.5533 higher than that in psychological ED group. The low shear viscosity (η10) in whole blood was 11.2810 ± 1.3120, which was significantly higher than 9.8321 ± 1.6415 in ED group (all P <0.001). Conclusions The low level of estrogen androgen in endocrine ED patients may result in the decrease of erythrocyte deformability and the increase of blood viscosity. The administration of estrogen and androgens in time may promote the recovery of erectile function from hemodynamics.
