报纸的编辑,每天要面对来自社会四面八方的稿件。编辑在整理、加工稿件时,显然要受到原稿内容、风格等方面的限制,不能撒开原稿另起炉灶。但这并不等于说,编辑的劳动完全是被动的。在尊重原稿,不扭曲其本意、伤害其风格的情况下,编辑完全可以充分发挥能动作用。一篇稿件,经过编辑的加工,往往可以像埋在沙里的金子那样,被淘出来提炼后,发出熠熠光辉。所以,对于一篇见报的稿件来说,编辑的主体作用也是不可忽视的。编辑的主体作用发挥得如何,决定于编辑的意识。什么是编辑意识?我以为是指编辑在加工稿件的过程中,如何想方设法把作者的意识明白无误地传输给读者,使读者能对作者的意识引起反响,或共鸣,或异议。就对待一篇稿件来说,
