春回大地，2012年铁路沿线造林绿化工作拉开序幕。今年，铁路部门造林绿化将以打造生态铁路、巩固提高铁路造林绿化成果为重点，以开展全民义务植树和保护母亲河为主要活动形式，深入推进沿线造林绿化工作。
为切实做好今年沿线造林绿化工作，铁路部门提前谋划。各铁路局结合各地气候特点，以加强种植与管护、新线绿化达标、规范林业管理、防沙治沙为重点做好造林绿化的工作部署安排。
近年来，我国沙尘天气增多，给铁路运输畅通和行车安全带来巨大影响。科学治沙，积极改善沿线生态环境是今年铁路绿化工作的一个重点。各铁路局将积极开展沙害治理的科学研究和新技术应用，寻求机械治沙与生物治沙相结合标本兼治的新途径。（来源/人民铁道报）
