The lead, copper, zinc, iron, manganese and copper-zinc superoxide dismutase (Cu-Zn SOD) activity of 15 female lead workers who were exposed to low doses of lead for a long time were determined. The secondary metabolites of lipid peroxidation product, Aldehyde (MDA) content, and in the same age group with non-lead exposed population as a control. The results showed that the contents of lead, copper and MDA in the exposed group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05), while the activities of Zinc and Cu-Zn SOD were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05) There was no significant difference between the two groups (P> 0.05). Tip: Long-term exposure to low concentrations of lead can induce lipid peroxidation in the body, while causing changes in trace elements.
