20世纪上半叶劳资纠纷日趋激烈,劳资合作随之广受社会各界关注与提倡。穆藕初在处理劳资纠纷过程中,结合其科学管理思想,形成了他独特的劳资合作思想,如推行科学管理改革、固结工人信仰心,以得其力、适度奖励工人等。穆藕初的劳资合作思想对当时乃至当今劳资关系的处理都具有重要参考价值。与同时期的荣氏兄弟、刘鸿生等企业家一样,穆藕初无法摆脱其资方身份和历史环境所造成的局限性,这在某种程度上也反映了近代中国复杂的劳资关系。
In the first half of the 20th century, labor disputes became more and more fierce. Labor-capital cooperation was followed widely by all walks of life. In the process of dealing with labor disputes, Mu Ouchu formed his unique labor-capital cooperation ideology by combining his ideas of scientific management, such as carrying out scientific management reform, consolidating workers’ faith, gaining his or her ability, and rewarding workers modestly. Mu Ouchu’s labor-capital cooperation thought had an important reference value to the management of the relations between labor and capital at that time and even now. Much like entrepreneurs such as Rong Brothers and Liu Hongsheng during the same period, Mu Ouchu failed to get out of the limitations caused by his employers’ identity and historical environment, which to some extent reflects the complex labor-capital relations in modern China.
