理想的圆弧锥齿轮(以下简称齿轮),它的端面模数从齿轮的大端至小端是按比例减小的。其齿厚也是按比例减小。这种收缩齿型称为“正常收缩”齿。但是在切削加工中,由于切削方法或铣刀盘直径选择不当。可能产生齿轮大端与小端齿厚比例失调,甚至出现小端齿厚大于大端齿厚(反向收缩)齿型。这样齿轮在使用过中,其承载能力将会受到影响。
