系统阐述中国古代文艺“神思”理论的是刘勰的《文心雕龙》,但“神思”基本内涵的确立则在晋宋之际已为庐山僧团所完成,宗炳及其师慧远是其中的关键人物。之所以如此,一方面是由于他们以佛教徒身份对“神”认识的深入,增强了对物象的“理感”;另一方面则是通过造型艺术的实践,加强了对“象”的认识,又通过晋宋之际佛玄儒道的大融合,在艺术实践中体会出“神思”论的精髓所在。
Systematic elaboration of ancient Chinese literature and art “Shen Si” theory is Liu Xie’s “Wen Xin Diao Long”, but the establishment of the basic connotation of “Shen Si” was completed by the Lushan Sangha during the Jin and Song dynasties. Huiyuan is one of the key figures. This is because, on the one hand, they deepen their understanding of “god” as a Buddhist and enhance their perception of objects; on the other hand, through the practice of plastic arts, Through the fusion of Buddhism, Taoism and Buddhism on the occasion of the Jin and Song dynasties, it realized the essence of the theory of “god thinking” in artistic practice.
