本文对高中、大学两个不同教学时期的教学目的、具体教学操作以及这两个阶段学生学习动机、态度、方法的差异进行了比较分析,进行了对当前新生英语教学现状的实证研究,通过对访谈高频词汇的百分比统计、绘图修正等方法总结了新生英语学习所要经过的特殊状态(即文中所定义的“平台期”),同时对目前解决大学新生英语学习适应问题的两大主要方法进行的研究,最后得出了“平台期”确实存在的现状,并对这一现状的具体表现进行了分析。
