中学生外语自学能力是指较少地依赖教师的课堂教学,而能较多的获得运用外语的技能和知识的综合能力。中学外语教师在教学活动中,不仅仅要直接培养中学生的听、说、读、写的基本技能,更要注重开发学生的自学能力。中学生的外语自学能力,不仅直接影响着他们在中学阶段的外语学习效率,而且为他们今后更高层次的学习打下坚实的基础。外文词典的运用能力是自学能力的基础。中学生在这个基本能力上是存在着一些问题的。1.教学实践中的问题中学生不善于运用外文词典的状况有三个层次的表现:第一个层次的表现是为图省事,不想查词典。有相当多的中学生在外语词汇的学习中遇到困难时,认为请老师答疑解惑是最方便、最省事的捷径,在学习任务繁重、课外作业如山的压力下,查词典费时费神。久而久之,中学生养成了不爱查词典的习惯。
Middle school students self-learning foreign language ability refers to less reliance on teacher's classroom teaching, but can get more comprehensive ability to use foreign language skills and knowledge. Middle school foreign language teachers in teaching activities, not only to directly develop middle school students listening, speaking, reading and writing the basic skills, but also to develop students self-learning ability. The ability to use foreign language dictionaries is the foundation of self-learning ability. Middle school students have some problems in this basic ability. 1. Problems in teaching practice Middle school students are not good at using foreign dictionaries in three levels of performance: the first level of performance is to save trouble and do not want to search the dictionary. There are quite a few middle school students who have encountered difficulties in learning foreign language vocabulary. They think it is the most convenient and trouble-free shortcut to ask questions from teachers. Under the pressure of heavy study tasks and extracurricular homework, it takes time and trouble to search the dictionary. Over time, high school students develop a habit of not looking for a dictionary.
