为了加快铁路建设,保证经济持续增长,国务院决定自一九九三年七月一日起提高铁路货物运价,每吨公里提高一分五厘,即:每吨公里由三分八厘五提高到五分三厘三。国家铁路(含运营临管线)运输的货物,除农用化肥和农药继续执行现行运价外,一律提价。对农用平价柴油和农用薄膜的运价,也按调整后的运价执行,如确有困难,由铁道部返回部分提价款。此次铁路货运提价收入,全部用作铁路建设基金。
