英语新课程标准强调突出学生主体,尊重个体差异。学生的发展是英语课程的出发点和归宿。英语课程在目标设定、教学过程、课程评价和教学资源的开发等方面都突出以学生为主体的思想。课程实施应成为学生在教师指导下构建知识、提高技能、磨砺意志、活跃思维、展现个性、发展心智和开阔视野的过程。高中英语课堂普遍存在着课堂沉默的现象,学生们只是听老师说,自己不开口说英语,这对学习英语是十分不利的。本文通过对学生的观察、问卷、访谈等多途径的研究,总结出我国高中英语课堂教学中的沉默现象形成的原因。根据本研究的发现提出了活跃课堂气氛,打破课堂沉默的对策,以提高高中英语教学质量。
The new English curriculum standard emphasizes students’ main body and respect individual differences. The development of students is the starting point and destination of English courses. The English curriculum emphasizes student-centered thinking in setting goals, teaching process, curriculum evaluation and teaching resource development. Curriculum implementation should become the process of students to build knowledge, improve skills, sharpen their will, active thinking, personality, mental development and broaden their horizons under the guidance of teachers. There is a common phenomenon of silence in high school English classrooms. Students just listen to the teacher and say that they do not speak English. This is very unfavorable to learning English. This article summarizes the reasons for the formation of silence in Chinese high school English classroom teaching through many ways of students’ observation, questionnaire and interviews. Based on the findings of this study, the author puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the quality of English teaching in senior high school through active classroom atmosphere and breaking the silence of class.
