2012年9月27日,一个令全球茶界震惊的消息从云南勐海县巴达山传出,被誉为“茶树活化石”的世界存活树龄最大古茶树——巴达野生茶树王在丛林中“仙然”倒地。这棵年届1800余年的古茶树,树基部围3.2米,树高32.8米,于1961年在云南勐海县苍茫群山中被发现。它的出现,表明中国不仅是茶文化泱泱大国,而且是无可辩驳的世界茶树原产地。巴达野生茶树王的“仙逝”让人惋惜,但新的消息却又让人振奋:就在野生茶树王附近,与之同时发现同时代的还有三棵参天古茶树以及难以计数的野生茶依然耸立在群山,以千年不变的节奏吐故纳新,向世人展示着勐海永远不变的古茶树群落地标。
On Sept. 27, 2012, a story that shocked the global tea industry came from Bada Mountain in Menghai County, Yunnan Province, and is known as the world’s oldest surviving ancient tea tree by living “Tea Tree Living Fossil” Jungle “Xianran ” fell to the ground. This year more than 1800 years of ancient tea tree, 3.2 meters around the base of the tree, the tree height of 32.8 meters, in 1961 in Menghai County, Yunnan vast mountains were found. Its appearance shows that China is not only a big tea culture country, but also an irrefutable world tea tree origin. The Wild Tea Tree of Bada is regrettable but the new news is refreshing: near the wild Tea Tree King, three contemporaneous ancient tea trees and countless wild Tea is still standing in the mountains, with a constant tempo of the new spit at the Millennium, to show the world the never-changing ancient tea tree community landmark.
