沥青粘结料的塑性取决于所处环境的温度。当低于一定的温度时,呈脆弹性,其杨氏模量高,而破坏拉力低;高于一定的温度时,则如同粘滞的牛顿流体,其粘滞性与剪切梯度无关,两在这两个湿度界限之间,则处于塑性范围。这个范围恰好和本地区的气温相一致。由于沥青粘结料对温度的依赖性,我们称之为热塑性材料。它具有下列两种特性:
The plasticity of asphalt binders depends on the temperature of the environment in which it is located. When below a certain temperature, it is brittle and elastic, its Young’s modulus is high, but the destructive pull force is low; Above a certain temperature, it is like a viscous Newtonian fluid, its viscosity has nothing to do with the shear gradient. Between these two humidity limits, it is in the plastic range. This range coincides with the temperature in the region. Due to the temperature dependence of asphalt binders, we call them thermoplastic materials. It has the following two features:
