秦帝国建立后,在国家意识形态构建问题上是缺乏认识的。秦对《吕氏春秋》的弃用以及对诸子思想的矛盾和摇摆态度都是极好的例证。历史的惯性和文化差异是秦构建国家意识形态的主要障碍。法家在秦并未获得国家意识形态地位,因为法家在秦帝国的政治实践中始终是“术”的层面而并不具有“道”的意义。法家的文化专制主义又隔断了其他诸子思想上升为国家意识形态的通道,于是,缺失意识形态对政权的维护和调整,成为秦帝国走向灭亡的重要原因之一。
After the establishment of the Qin Empire, there was a lack of understanding on the issue of building state ideology. The abandonment of “Lu’s Spring and Autumn Annals” by Qin and the contradiction and swaying attitude towards the thought of all the elites are all excellent examples. The inertia and cultural differences of history are the main obstacles to the construction of state ideology in Qin. The legalists did not acquire state ideological status in the Qin Dynasty, because the legalists were always “technically” in the political practice of the Qin Empire and did not have the meaning of “Taoism.” The legalist despotism also cut off the passage from other philosophers to national ideology. Therefore, the lack of ideological safeguard and adjustment of the regime became one of the important reasons for the demise of the Qin Empire.
