美国大学的ESOL课程是针对母语不是英语学生开设的英语课,它呈现分层施教,针对专业教学;分组教学,课堂情境逼真;强调练习,突出实践技能;运用科技,教学手段先进的特点。美国大学的ESOL课程的启示意义主要有:第一,以生为本,针对学生专业开展教学;第二,以练为基,培养学生实际动手能力;第三,充分引导,协调运用多种教学方法;第四,紧跟时代,充分利用现代教育技术。
ESOL courses at American universities are designed for English-speaking English-speaking students whose native language is not English. They are taught in different levels and are aimed at professional teaching. They are divided into groups and are immersed in realistic classroom situations. Emphasis is put on practicing and practice skills. They use advanced features of science and technology and teaching methods. The inspirational implications of ESOL courses at American universities include: first, taking students as the foundation and teaching for students ’major; second, training students as a base to cultivate students’ practical ability; and thirdly, guiding and coordinating the use of multiple teaching methods Fourth, keep up with the times, make full use of modern educational technology.
