Objective To understand the prevalence of HIV and HCV among drug addicts in methadone clinics in Jingzhou and its influencing factors. Methods Drug abuse behavior, liver function abnormalities, nutritional status, complications and other questionnaires were investigated, and blood samples were tested for HIV antibody and HCV antibody. Results Among 617 drug addicts, HIV and HCV infection rates were 2.1% and 70.5% respectively. HCV infection and drug-related years. The drug abuse behaviors of drug addicts between men and women were compared: the age of first addicts and the age of drug addicts were statistically significant (both P <0.01 and P <0.05), but the average frequency of drug abuse and the average drug addicts had no statistical significance (both P> 0.05). The proportion of complications among female drug users (21.43%) was higher than that of male drug users (12.83%), the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01). There was no significant difference in HCV infection among different drug users (P> 0.05). However, there was significant difference in the incidence of liver function and complications among different drug users (P <0.01). Multivariate logistic analysis of drug addicts infected with HCV main influencing factors, the order of initial smoking age, drug use, liver function, complications, age. Among them, the age of aspiration was negatively correlated with HCV infection. Conclusion Interventions should be taken on high-risk behavior among drug users and the publicity and education on AIDS knowledge should be carried out in this population.
