Leupaxin (LPXN) is a new member of paxillin family discovered in recent years. It mainly locates in focal adhesion and participates in the transduction of many signaling pathways and regulates the proliferation, adhesion and migration of tumor cells. In prostate cancer cells, LPXN is not only involved in the transduction of integrin signaling pathways, regulating the proliferation, adhesion and migration of prostate cancer cells, but also acts as a new androgen receptor (AR) coactivator to regulate intracellular AR effects Transcription of genes, transduction of AR signals, and differentiation and invasion of prostate cancer cells. This article reviews the molecular structure of LPXN, the specific role of LPXN in prostate cancer metastasis and related molecular mechanisms.
