After experiencing a 200-year lockup policy, Japan finally opened the door to its own country. They saw the bustling Shanghai and saw the Chinese humiliation. So that they made a painful decision and changed the history of Japan in 1862 (the first year of Tongzhi) when there actually existed two regimes in China. One was the Qing government, the empress of the empress dowager, and the seven-year-old emperor, and the other was Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. Just on June 2 of the year, a sailing boat slowly sailed to Shanghai. What attracts people’s attention is that the flag on the back of a sailboat is not seen by most people. Only Japanese businessmen who have been to Japan can recognize it. That is the Japanese flag.
