Not long ago, in the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of General Ji Hongchang in Henan Province, guests each received a special gift: a porcelain bowl that burned General Ji Hongchang’s remark that “an official must not make a fortune” . The guests all regarded this porcelain bowl as a precious souvenir, which it considered to be the best memory of martyrs. “Officials are not allowed to make a fortune ” is a precious legacy left by General Ji Hongchang. The very intention of this remark is very clear, meaning that we can not use our power and conscience and violate the party discipline and state laws to send unjust money. This should be the most basic discipline of Communists. Most cadres can conscientiously abide by this discipline, not greedy, willing to poverty, Jiao Yulu, Kong Fansen, Zhang Mingqi, Li Runwu is one example. Needless to say, among our ranks of cadres, some also associate government officials with making good fortune. Yan Jianhong’s ingenuity, Wang Po-sen’s corruption and corruption are typical examples.
