《最后的巫歌》最明显的特征表现在两个方面:史诗品质和神话性。其具体内涵体现在对家族史和民族志的精心构建上。它以一种陌生化的形式勾勒出一个民族的族群记忆和民间化的历史,以一个民族——“虎族”(土家族)的文化溯源来追寻民族文化之根。它以独特的神话叙事方式,打通了历史、现实、神性和人性的界限,以揭示文化之根本和探寻民族之未来为目的,为中国当下文坛奉献了一部难得的宏大叙事之作。这部作品丰富了当代文学叙事经验,而且努力建构起一种宏大叙事的新模式。
The most obvious feature of The Last Witch Song is manifested in two aspects: epic quality and mythology. Its specific content is reflected in the carefully constructed family history and ethnography. In a strange form, it outlines the ethnic memory and folk-custom history of a nation, tracing the root of its culture with the cultural trace of a nation - “tiger” (Tujia). With a unique way of narrative narration, it has opened the boundary between history, reality, divinity and humanity, exposed the root of culture and explored the future of the nation. It devoted a rare grand narrative to the current literary world in China. This work enriches the experience of contemporary literary narratives and strives to build a new model of grand narrative.
