The standard of care in this chapter is to maximize patient adherence to prescription medication compliance. Many people are shocked to learn that they have tuberculosis. Some even refuse to accept this fact, while others try hard to understand their illness and the treatment they receive. Their response depends on many factors, including: cultural beliefs, values, past experiences, and awareness of the disease. Although tuberculosis is more common among the infirm, anyone can become ill. What matters to the patient is that they are able to discuss what they care about based on their own situation. The key to curing TB is that patients have access to full treatment and ongoing treatment that can only be achieved through the joint efforts of both the patient and the health care provider. There must be a system for tracking patients who have not been treated as agreed (patients who have not taken the drug on time). By using a flexible, innovative and personalized approach, you will have the greatest success in patient tracking. The treatment and care that the patient already has will have an impact on his / her willingness to uphold the treatment. In any case, a tracking system for patients who have not taken drugs on time should be enforced. However, if the patient has a high rate of default (more than 10%), any tracking system will not help, and the entire service system must be examined.
