健身球是一种新兴、有趣、特殊的体育健身运动。这项运动1963年起源于瑞士,之后传到澳大利亚、欧洲、美国等国家和地区。最初它是作为康复医疗的设备用于腰背疾病、神经紊乱及膝盖、肩部等疾病的康复治疗,起到纠正体态和协调病人肢体平衡的作用。因为健身球在帮助恢复人体某些部位肌肉(腰背、骨盆)功能方面的效果显著,所以得到了广泛推广。如今,健身球运动不再单一地作为一种理疗手段,它已成为一项新兴的健身运动。
Fitness ball is a new, interesting, special sports and fitness. The sport originated in Switzerland in 1963, then spread to Australia, Europe, the United States and other countries and regions. Initially it was used as a rehabilitation medical device for the treatment of low back problems, neurological disorders and knee, shoulder and other diseases rehabilitation treatment, played to correct posture and to coordinate the patient’s limb balance. Because fitness ball in helping to restore some parts of the human body muscles (back, pelvis) function of the effect is remarkable, so it has been widely promoted. Nowadays, fitness ball exercise is no longer as a single physical therapy, it has become a new fitness exercise.
