Economic liberalism is an important theoretical school of international relations developed by the West in the 1970s. The theory that the so-called interdependence of international economy helps to promote international cooperation is often quoted by Western scholars and has an influence on the domestic academic circle. This article examines the reality and expected value of “interdependence” in international politics and forecasts economic liberalism’s prospects for world peace after the Cold War
